WINE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
STATUTE
Art. 2 - Purpose
The Association, a not-for-profit one and without any political objects, has the purpose to promote and increase the local, national and international wine culture, including production agriculture, its preparation, processing, conservation, consumption, and related activities, through all possible channels ( only as exemplification: wine sector surveys – meetings – wine tastings – debates – courses – working groups constitution).
The Association can consequently accomplish every cultural, didactic, publishing activity, with the exclusion of daily papers publication, in order to advertise the wine making culture diffusion, wine consumption and to promote national and international oenology. The Association can, moreover, promote directly and/or in collaboration with other Associations, publicly-owed and private Companies, every initiative, which can be useful and/or necessary to reach the social aim.
Art. 4 – Associates
Those who acknowledge themselves in the present Statute can enter the Association.
The Association is constituted by the following associates categories, all subject to the Statute rules:
A) Ordinary Associates: they deal with wine in Italy and Abroad and, more precisely: producers, wine-sector traders, wine shops, sommeliers, oenologists, restaurateurs, oeno-gastronomic journalists, university teachers of Oenology and Agriculture Faculties. The ordinary associates can vote.
B) Supporting Associates: they are persons or Companies that acknowledge in the Association purposes a social, cultural and educational promotion reason, so they allow annual dues, even if they don’t have the same qualifications as per point A). The supporting associates can’t vote.
Art. 5 – Associates Admission
The admission of a new associate is deliberated finally by the Board of Directors following a written request from the interested party and according to criteria settled in the Association Internal Regulation.
The adhesion to the Association imposes the respect of the social bodies decisions and a correct behaviour both in the course of internal relationships among associates and the ones with outside parties.
The associate status, once acquired, will be lost due to death or, for exclusion, withdrawal, serious non-fulfilment and disinterestedness towards the social activity, that is non-payment of the due for at least two consecutive years.
The exclusion is deliberated by the Board of Directors to the associate, who materially and/or morally causes damage to the Association.
The withdrawal is allowed for each associate and at every moment, against presentation of a written withdrawal request to the Board of Directors.
The loss of being an associate whatever the reason may be, does not give the right to get a reimbursement of the paid annual due, or of other possible payments already made.
Art. 7 – Associates Admission
The Association funds its own activity:
- from the Association dues annually paid by the members;
- from donations, generous gifts, legacies and contributions of people, societies, national and international publicly-owed and private Companies;
- from incomes of initiatives realized or promoted by the Association.
